Norwich Arts Centre is a small, independently run venue with charitable status situated close to the centre of Norwich. The Centre has been redeveloped with the aid of a capital grant from the National Lottery in 1999. The improvements included a new on-street entrance, a new multi-media department and improved access and facilities for disabled people and performers alike. Since redevelopment, Norwich Arts Centre has established itself as a major venue for live music in the region, popular with artists and audiences alike for its intimacy, friendliness and commitment to professional presentation of small scale arts and entertainment. They specialise in exhibiting photography and new media work, with a particular commitment to developing audiences for new media and opportunities for artists through a commissioning programme.
Pavilion Theatre & Pier - Cromer
Cromer Pier has had a Pier or Jetty since 1931. Situated on the Pier is the Theatre as well as a Museum dedicated to the Lifeboat which has saved many lives and has many stories to tell. The Theatre is particularly well known for its Seaside Specials but is also famed for its other productions and shows. It is most certainly well worth a visit as is the town of Cromer itself.
Norwich Playhouse is a superb venue in the heart of the city and the most modern performance space of its size in East Anglia. The Playhouse opened 10 years ago, created from a riverside maltings dating from about 160 years earlier.
January 2000 saw the start of exciting spring and autumn seasons, now numbering 13 and attracting nationally recognised artistes, for comedy, music, jazz, dance and drama. Tickets are reasonably priced and the shows are popular. In the summer there are events produced by local professional companies and educational activities
The Litte Theatre - Sheringham
