Norwich, only a thirty minute drive offers all you would expect from a vibrant and energetic city whilst laying in the heart of rural East Anglia. It was the Anglo-Saxons who first made it their homes. From one of these settlements “Northwic” was born and later gave its name to the city. The settlement grew and became the largest walled town in medieval England. With the recent Riverside Development and Castle Mall, Norwich is enjoying once again prosperous times. Norwich boasts a magnificent Norman Cathedral founded as a Benedictine Priory in 1096, and now rests in the largest close in England. The Cathedral spire is the second tallest in England, and the monastic cloisters are the largest in the country. The ancient Norman Keep of Norwich Castle dominates the city below, Once a Royal palace, the Castle is now the centrepiece of a museum housing one of England’s finest regional collections of natural history, art and archaeology which intrigues and inspires visitors of all ages.

Norwich is also very proud of it's new shopping centre, Chapelfield. a great new shopping experience for East Anglia, right in the heart of Norwich. With over 80 shops, 40 of them completely new to Norwich, 17 tempting cafés and restaurants and the only House of Fraser in the region, Chapelfield is much more than just another shopping centre. It is a place to shop, a place to dine, and a place to meet. Most of all it is a place to enjoy. Inspired by the surrounding architecture, both old and new, Chapelfield offers a stylish and contemporary environment which will integrate with the wider cultural quarter of the Forum, the Theatre Royal and the Assembly House providing the retail heart to a vibrant new area. Conveniently located adjacent to Norwich's new bus station, which links with the six Park & Ride schemes, and offering around 1,000 car park spaces Chapelfield could not be more accessible.

The recent investment and development in Norwich has all contributed to making it one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the country and when visiting Norfolk you would certainly be foolish not to spend a day there.
