North Norfolk Museums And Other Attractions.
North Norfolk, is home to interesting museums and places of Historical consequence. In this section we have for your reference listed several of them. Clicking on the underlined text of each section will take you to the relevant website where you can discover more information about the venue. We do always recommend with any of the attractions in North Norfolk that you check their opening times as some of them do close out of season and some have specific days that they are also closed.
Norfolk Motorcycle Musuem.
Norfolk Motorcycle Museum. An interesting collection of over 80 motorcycles from the 1920's to the 1960's. Only around a fifteen minute drive from the Hotel.
Open 7 days a week from 10:00 to 16:30. (Closed Sundays October to Easter).
Admission: Adults £3.00, Senior Citizens £2.50, Children £1.50 .
The Muckleburgh Collection.
The Muckleburgh Collection. The Muckleburgh Collection, the UK's largest privately owned working Military Collection with 16 Tanks all in working order plus all manner of other vehicles and attractions. The collection is around forty five minutes drive from the Hotel and to get there you pass through some beautiful Norfolk Coastal scenes and views.
The Museum Of The Broads.
The Museum Of The Broads. The only waterside museum of Broadland life, in a traditional setting at Stalham Staithe on the Norfolk Broads. Discover the boats of the Broads and how people's working lives shaped the landscape. Enjoy displays, videos and a playboat in a tranquil and picturesque location only two minutes from the Hotel.

The Norfolk Nelson Museum. The Norfolk Horatio Nelson Museum is in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. As we commemorate the 200th anniversary of Nelson’s State Heraldic Funeral, the Norfolk Nelson Museum helps us to understand Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and the times in which he lived. Explore Nelson’s career, from his Norfolk childhood through his famous battles to his tragic, heroic death, with their hands-on activities. Norwich Castle & Museum. Now the County's principal museum, the Castle is packed with treasures to inspire and intrigue visitors of all ages. Its outstanding collections of fine art, archaeology and natural history are of national importance and include the best collections anywhere of paintings by the Norwich School of Artists and the world's largest collection of ceramic teapots. While here you simply must take the Dungeon Tour which is ran at regular intervals through the day!
Cromer Town Museum.
Cromer Museum. Several Museums under one roof. One new addition, the brand new Geology Gallery and see an amazing collection of fossils - all found in Norfolk. Fascinating displays reveal why Cromer is renowned as a geological area of international importance. Strangers Hall - Norwich.
Stranger's Hall - Norwich. Maybe visit one of the oldest and most fascinating buildings in Norwich. Home to wealthy merchants and Mayors when Norwich was in its heyday, this beautifully restored building dates back to 1320. See the magnificent stone-vaulted undercroft, the Tudor Great Hall and fine Georgian Dining Room. Wander through a maze of passages to discover a series of inter-linked rooms with period settings showing how people lived in the past. Shering Museum.
Sheringham Museum. Sheringham is a small town on the northern coast of the County of Norfolk, in England. Sheringham Museum's collections reflect the towns development from a small fishing village specializing in crabs and whelks in the 19th Century, to a fashionable holiday destination for families arriving by railway in the early 20th Century. Sheringham also has a long heritage of lifesaving by the towns lifeboats from the early 1800's to the present, as a result of which the museum holds a nationally important collection of early lifeboats.
Neatishead RAF Radar Museum.
Neatishead RAF Radar Museum. September 1941 - Two years into the Second World War saw the first secret radar system installed at RAF Neatishead, near Horning in Norfolk. Forty airmen and airwomen were billeted at a local village and training began in this radical early warning system. After the war the station was established as a Sector Operations Centre and continued to be used until 1993. In October 1994 the original operations building which housed the old equipment was converted into the Air Defence Radar Museum. The museum traces the history and development of Air Defence Radar since its invention in 1935. The rest of the RAF base remains 'Operational'. See the history and development of Detection, Air Intelligence Photography, Air Defence Radar and Air Battle Management from the 1930's to the modern computer technology of today.
